Since the 12th century Newark has proudly held a market in the town market place. In this time the local community has faced many challenges yet the market has continued to serve it needs.

Early in 2020 the Newark Royal Market team responded to the coronavirus health protection measures by instigating home deliveries for vulnerable people. The service has been an absolute lifeline to many allowing those shielding to contact the team who then collect their essential shopping from the traders and delivery it to their home.

Continuing to this day, the market team are always willing to help. We thought they deserve some recognition and a little break.
